For thousands of years, the church has celebrated the advent or arrival of the Savior of the World in the four weeks leading up to Christmas. The Advent season helps us reposition our hearts and refocus our minds away from the familiarity of the season and toward the wonder of the manger. Each week, we emphasize a characteristic of Christ with  heart-filled anticipation. This week we will celebrate the promise of peace that Jesus fulfilled 2,000 years ago and the peace He places in our hearts.
