Camp Venture is Almost Here!

A community event, Camp Venture is a faith-based camp that pops up in neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and community parks in areas near a Venture Church campus. Camp Venture offers kids the opportunity to experience recreational games, hands-on activities, and Biblical teaching in a safe and adult-led environment. Camp Venture will take place June 23-25, 2024 and will culminate in a community-focused family night on Wednesday, June 26. FAQs

The goal of Camp Venture is to take church off campus and into our surrounding communities to impress the love of Jesus into the lives of others as we serve them. Camp Venture is about building new relationships and sharing the Gospel with our neighbors, with the ultimate goal of seeing them come to know, love, and follow Jesus.
Camp Venture is a unique chance for families to serve side by side. It's like the whole family is going on a mission trip together in their own hometown.
There is no cost to participate in Camp Venture.
The Camp Venture experience is best when you can commit to all three days. However, we realize schedules are tough, and we want everyone to be able to participate. So if the only way you for you to participate is by missing a day or two, we'd still love to have you serve at Camp Venture!
We ask that you attend a short training on Sunday, June 23 at your Venture Church campus. During this time, you will meet your Camp Venture site leader and team members, as well as go over specific details for executing Camp Venture at your designated site.

When you arrive at your Camp Venture site on Monday and Tuesday, you will join the rest of your team members to begin knocking on doors and inviting kids and families to join you. As your guests arrive, your team will lead them in free play, rec time, Bible story time, crafts, and songs. The goal is to SERVE by showing the love of Jesus to those who show up as you teach them simple but powerful Biblical truths.
Serving looks different for everyone, but we believe that Camp Venture is an opportunity for parents, grandparents, and kids to serve side by side. Adults, encourage your children to make Camp Venture guests comfortable by inviting a new friend to play games or by passing out snacks and drinks. Talk to your children about why we serve others and what it should look like to impress the love of Christ through serving.
Please wear a Venture Church t-shirt. We will provide you with a name tag and lanyard as well. Camp Venture is an environment that happens in June in South Mississippi, so it will be hot. Dress to stay modestly cool and comfortable.
Camp Venture will take place in the evening from 6-7:30 p.m. on June 23-25. Family Night will kick-off at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26.
If your family resides in one of the communities where we will be hosting Camp Venture, we invite you to join us on Monday, June 25 and Tuesday, June 26 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. No additional sign-up is required!
