Head

In this story, Jesus saw that the crowd was hungry, but there wasn’t enough food. Instead of worrying, Jesus took the seven loaves, gave thanks, and then performed a miracle by feeding thousands of people! Jesus showed us the power of gratitude and trust. Even when things seem small or not enough, God can provide for our needs.

Heart

Have you ever felt like you don’t have enough; maybe not enough food, time, or even love to share? Sometimes, we focus on what we don’t have instead of being thankful for what we do have. But Jesus teaches us that when we trust God and give thanks, He can do more than we expect! Families can learn from this by practicing gratitude together by thanking God for meals, time together, and even the little things in life.

Hands
  • Give Thanks: At mealtime, take a moment to thank God for your food, just like Jesus did.
  • Trust God: When you feel like you don’t have enough of something, pray and ask God to provide.
  • Share with Others: Find ways to bless someone - maybe a kind word, sharing a toy, or helping a family member.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for all You give us. Help us to be thankful and trust You, even when we feel like we don’t have enough. Teach us to share and bless others with what You provide. Amen.
