Read Psalms 41-42

Head

Psalm 41 is another song written by King David. In this Psalm, David talks about how God loves and helps people who are kind to others, especially those who are sick or in trouble. David knows that when we care for others, God notices and blesses us. David also talks about feeling sad because some people weren’t being nice to him. They said mean things and wanted him to fail. Even though this hurt, David trusted God to protect him and help him. He thanked God for always being by his side and for loving him no matter what. In the end, David praises God and reminds everyone that God is faithful forever!

Heart

Have you ever helped someone who needed a little extra care? Maybe you shared your lunch with a friend who forgot theirs, or you gave a hug to someone who was feeling sad. That’s kindness, and it makes God so happy when we do it!
In Psalm 41, David tells us that God blesses people who are kind to others, especially those who are sick or in trouble. When we help others, it shows that we have God’s love in our hearts. But sometimes, like David, we might feel sad if people are unkind to us. Even then, we can trust God. He sees everything, and He will take care of us. When we show kindness, God’s blessings will follow us, even if others don’t notice.

Hands

What are some ways to be kind to someone in need? Pray for opportunities to show kindness to these friends this week. Pray God will give you opportunities to show His love to others.

Prayer: Dear God, Thank You for always being kind to me. Please help me to show Your love by being kind to others, especially those who need extra care. Thank You for blessing me when I choose kindness. I trust You to take care of me no matter what.
