Read Matthew 6:25-34

Head

I love today’s passage! The very first verse comes out strong with a command to not worry about anything. God provides everything we need. This entire passage is an encouragement for us and our worries. God provides everything for the birds and think how much more He loves us. The birds don’t worry about anything! This scripture tells us that worrying doesn’t add a single hour to our lives. Our Father knows everything we need from clothes to food to drink.

Heart

God doesn’t want us to sit and worry all the time. He wants us to direct our attention to Him and how He can be trusted. We see over and over again in scripture how He always keeps His Word. God holds everything in His hands. He knows exactly what we need before we even ask! I don’t know about you, but that brings me so much comfort!

Hands

Are you a worrier? Take time this week to make a list of things that are worrying you currently. Ask God to take each of those things and use them to point them towards Him. Keep your list and when you see that God took care of that situation. Be reminded how He takes care of you!

Prayer: God, thank You for supplying all our needs! Help us remember that You are in control of everything! We love you!
