Read Galatians 1:18-24

Head

I love these verses because they tell of how God used something terrible and turned it into something good. Paul, when his name was Saul, was a bad man. He hurt and made fun of people who loved Jesus. Then, one day, God got his attention. Paul quickly understood God’s love and power, and he wanted to tell everyone about Jesus. The people Paul was preaching to in Galatians 1:18-24 knew the stories of Paul. In verse 24, they said, “The man who used to attack us has changed. He is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” And here’s the best part:  ”And they praised God because of [Paul].” God chose to use a very bad man to change the world.

Heart

There is always hope! “We know that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love him” (Romans 8:28, NIRV). God can turn people who have made some very bad decisions into people who change the world for good. In the same way, God can use some very hard times to bring people to know, love, and follow Him. Be encouraged by this! NOTHING is too hard for God!

Hands

Sometimes, we meet people who are difficult to love and get along with. Think about Paul’s story and remember how God can change someone’s life. If there’s someone in your life that you’re having a hard time getting along with, pray for that person and your attitude towards that person. Remember God created that person, loves him/her, and can use you and that person in incredible ways.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the miracles You work in people and circumstances. Thank You for turning bad circumstances into things that bring people to You. Amen.
