21 Days of Prayer
Key Verse:
“From heaven the Lord looks down
and sees all mankind;
from his dwelling place he watches
all who live on earth—
he who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.” Psalm 33:13-15

This week’s focus: Pray First
Have you ever felt unseen or unimportant? Have you ever felt like you don’t matter? Be encouraged to know that the God of the Universe sees you and loves you with an unfathomable love. Because he created us, knows our hearts, and watches over us, we can boldly approach Him without fear of being rejected or ignored. Why wouldn’t we want to talk to Him about everything!? Ask God to help you grow in your relationship with Him this year, as you seek to know Him more and more.

Read Psalm 33
Head
The first few verses of Psalm 33 command us to sing to the Lord, play musical instruments in praise, and shout for joy. The writer gives the reason for why we should be singing and praising God in verse 4, “For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.” God is faithful and true. That is something worth praising.
Heart
Maybe you’re like me when you read those verses about music and think, “But I’m not that great at singing and I don’t play an instrument.” I know God loves hearing you sing even if you think you’re no good. When I sing in worship, it helps me put things into proper perspective. I’m reminded of how big God is and also how loving and kind he is. Sometimes the words of the song are exactly what my heart needs to say to God and the song is the only way I would have ever found those words.
Can we praise God in other ways? If you play a sport, you can play that sport in a way that praises God. If you dance, cheer, or do robotics you can do those things in a way that brings glory to God. You can do it to the best of your ability and show kindness to others while giving God the credit. You wouldn’t be able to enjoy those activities without God. Also, when you enjoy doing things, I think it makes God smile. It sure makes me smile when I see my son enjoying riding his bike or playing with Legos.
God is faithful and true. He is worthy of us singing praise to him and glorifying him in all the activities we do.
Hands
Play one of your favorite worship songs and sing along. You can search for Venture Worship on YouTube and play one of our videos. As you sing, think about what the words mean. Sing the song as a prayer to God, focusing on Him.
Prayer: Dear Lord, You are faithful. You are righteous. You are worthy. You are love. I give my praise to You. I rest in Your faithfulness and love. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
