Scripture
Primary Text: John 15:1-8
Observations & Applications
1. Jesus says, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.” What does this metaphor tell us about our dependence on Jesus?
2. Jesus says that the Father prunes the branches that bear fruit so they will be even more fruitful. How do you think God’s pruning process works in our lives?
3. Jesus says, “Apart from me, you can do nothing.” Why do we sometimes struggle to fully believe this?
4. Verse 8 says, “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” What kind of fruit should our lives produce as disciples of Jesus?
