Unraveled: Pulling the Threads of Holy Week

Easter is a beautiful picture of how God’s Word is woven together from start to finish. In this limited series, we’re unpacking the Easter story and how the rescue plan can be seen throughout Scripture. This redemptive tale was introduced in the Old Testament, was retold through the Gospels, and continues to unfold in our stories today.

This week’s episode takes us all the way back to the first Passover. Before Jesus’ birth, before David was anointed king, before Joshua entered the Promised Land, and before Moses led the Israelites into the wilderness, God was already preparing our path to freedom. Easter begins at Exodus! Let’s dive in and start pulling threads of Scripture!

Scripture

Primary Text: Exodus 12:3-7, 11-13

Observations & Applications

1. What is the significance of applying the lamb’s blood to the doorframes of their homes?

2. In verse 11, God tells them to eat the meal in haste, ready to leave. What does this tell us about their mindset and God’s purpose?

3. How does God’s judgment against Egypt contrast with His mercy toward those under the blood?

4. How does the Passover point us to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus?
