Key Verse

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a – “Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not want what belongs to others. It does not brag. It is not proud. It does not dishonor other people. It does not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It does not keep track of other people’s wrongs. Love is not happy with evil. But it is full of joy when the truth is spoken. It always protects. It always trusts. It always hopes. It never gives up. Love never fails.”

Jesus tells us the most important thing we can do is love others. He teaches us to love everyone, just like He loves us. We show love when we help our family, share with friends, and care for pets. Love means being kind, sharing, and saying nice and encouraging words. It’s about listening to others and helping them when they need us. When we love others, we are like shining lights that make the world a brighter place. Jesus showed the greatest love by caring for everyone, even people He didn’t know. We make Jesus happy and feel joy in our hearts when we love others. Love is a special gift that grows every time we share it. So, let’s spread love every day, just like Jesus does!

Reflection:

Talk about ways you can love God. Talk about ways you can love people you know. Also, think about ways you can love people that you don’t know at all. God wants us to love Him first and love other people well.

Prayer:

Father God, You tell us that love is full of joy when the truth is spoken. We are grateful that love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and never gives up. Your love never fails, and we can count on that. Love comes straight from Your heart to ours. Please let other people see Your love in us. In the awesome Name of Jesus, Amen.
